We've got a new to us director this time, Darleen Bates, on board for this cruise to teach. Darleen comes highly recommended and particularly enjoys helping beginner players. Having former teachers provide lessons seems to be a natural progression, and I feel certain we will gain from her knowledge and perspective.
Darleen wrote up a short bio to let us know more about her. She is from Newfoundland, Canada but has lived in the US since 1999. She has been playing bridge most of her adult life. She was a club owner and director for many years in North Carolina and became a part-time ACBL director and bridge teacher when she was working as an Elementary School teacher, of which she retired after 39 years! She is now living in Florida and directing online and in person tournaments.
